FREE IAAP Webinars Available July 1st

The California Division Board voted to invest in their members and future LANs by purchasing three 12-month group Unlimited Webinar Packages from IAAP Headquarters.  An agreement signed last week secures the webinars for three areas of the State, North, South and Central.

Here's how it works: we will have three "Point Persons" one in each area that you'll need to contact if you wish to view a webinar (preferably with several IAAP members).  They will coordinate with HQ and supply you with the link and passcodes necessary for the free viewing. The Point Person will also take care of submitting a list of attendees to IAAP HQ and each attendee will be enrolled in a short quiz to take at their convenience.  They will be able to print or save their Certificate of Completion after passing the quiz, which will also be proof of any approved IAAP CAP recertification points.

CA Division Members can enjoy 12 months of unlimited access to IAAP on-demand webinars, including new webinars added from IAAP's live Webinar Wednesday series.  Here are just a few titles:

  • Decision Making - Why Style Matters
  • Leading from Where YOU Are
  • Innovate Like a Mouse
  • Travel Planning for the Administrative Professional
  • Winning Communication Tools for the Administrative Professional
For a complete list and more information on the webinars go to

Point Persons:
CENTRAL:  Murphy Jones, CAP-OM -
SOUTH:  Donna Kendrena, CAP-OM -

We still need a "Point Person" for the North.  If you are interested in helping in this way, please reach out to one of the Division Board Members as soon as possible.

  • Willingness to Serve

If you are interested in volunteering for a working group or a committee, fill out the Willingness to Serve Form. Volunteer opportunities are very important to the strategic planning of IAAP and a great way for members to share their thoughts and opinions. Applicants must apply every calendar year.

  • Mentor Match

We are excited to announce the launch of a new program for IAAP members: Mentor Match. This unique platform will match members for a mentoring relationship. Whether your mentor is across the street or on the far side of the globe, Mentor Match will help you connect to the right person for you. If you're a member with experience, or a member looking to learn a specific skill set, this free matching program is for you.
